Last month was the Palestine month in Morocco. Thousands rally on the Nakba Day in Casablanca on May 14, huge demonstrations took place to support Gaza on May 20 and May 21, official inauguration by King Mohammed VI of the Palestine mosque in Ben M’Sik on May 25… And then, a new phase of official support, with the shipping of humanitarian aid to Gaza on May 28 and May 29, from Casablanca airport where King Mohammed VI reviewed all the airfreight pallets.
Four Moroccan military planes already left for Egypt and Jordan. The 113 tons aid includes the material in implement a field hospital, 25 tons of basic medicines, 5000 blankets… The hospital field will come with a 97 persons staff (vascular surgeons, trauma specialists, pediatricians, E.N.T., ophthalmologists, nurses…).
The main part of the humanitarian aid will be transferred to the Gaza Strip through Rafah border, according to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP). The rest of the food aid will be dispatched in West Bank and to Jerusalem, though Jordan border.
